1 hour activities for care homes.
We can arrange for me to come along to your care home and sit with people who like to crochet. I can bring all the materials that are needed and we can work together on a project or I can support individuals with their own project.
I have an employment background in care so I understand the challenges that a care home environment can be to some persons. I am also more than happy for your establishment to run a DBS check.

I don’t currently have a work shop to be able to do one to one classes at the moment but this is something that I am working towards providing as I do believe that crafts should be accessible for all and not everyone can handle the social stress that craft clubs can bring.
One to one classes. Friendly safe space to help grow your woolly craft skills. You can book as you go along. But if you are wanting a batch of classes then best to book all at the same time. Discounts can be given for bulk classes.

The very beginning. Learn how to cast on cast of knit /purl. Learn about different wools different needles. Get a feel for what works best for you on how to get the right tension on your yarn. £25
The very beginning of Crochet skills
Been looking at videos online for ages and just don’t seem to get your head around how to start. What even is a slip knot? Then this is the right class for you. No question is a silly question. £25

Learn the very basics to spinning. Get a understanding for the terminology and what they all mean. £25.
Intermediate knitting skills.
Beyond the basics. Tips and tricks to make knitting easier. Push the comfort zone. Must already know the very basic knit and purl casting on and off. If you are not sure on this please start with a beginner lesson. £25.
Intermediate crochet skills.
Learn different stitches. Brake down patterns. Work with colour. Must have a understanding of starting a project and doing a simple double and triple crochet stitch. £25
2 hour craft classes.
Spinning wheel . Beginners guide.
Been given a spinning wheel or have acquired one and really want to learn how to use it but not sure where to start. Just a little bit daunted by what the different parts do . Is your fibre not going on the bobbin? Or is it just braking all the time. Learn how to set up your spinning wheel , what the different parts do and get the feel for your spinning wheel. Also how to maintain your wheel going in to the future. £40.
