So over the past two weeks I have been busy with a spinning workshop hosted at Clare’s craft center.  The class fee was £25 for two hours and you could come along and get a basic feeling for lots of different fibers. Looking at how they all differ from each other. And how not all sheep fleece is the same.  Different breads make different fibers.

We started blending colours together using carding brushes and then went on to the park and draft method of using a drop spindle .

Throughout the morning we moved on to a Ashford joy double treadle wheel.

One lady was so overjoyed by learning the new skill she has purchased a second hand spinning wheel for herself.
